Avielle Rose Richman (October 17, 2006 - December 14, 2012) was a young girl born with a spitfire personality. As she grew older, she kept this trait while becoming a storyteller and a lover for stories. Aside from stories, she also loved kung fu, her friends that will always be in her heart, music, horseback riding, swimming, archery, ice-skating, and playing as a superhero. Many people said that Avielle was mostly seen barefoot and always had a large grin on her face.
Sadly, Avielle was one of the 20 children killed with 6 adults in the Sandy Hook massacre that occurred on December 14, 2012. After her death, her parents would build The Avielle Foundation in her memory, which prevented violence. Her father, Jeremy Richman (March 3, 1970 - March 25, 2019), would later die in his office of an apparent suicide.
