Cynthia Dionne Wesley (April 30, 1949 - September 15, 1963) was an American girl who was one of the four girls killed in the 16th Street Baptist Church bombing. She, alongside three other girls and dozens more people went to the basement for closing prayers when 122 sticks of dynamite that members of a KKK planted there exploded, killing Cynthia and the three other girls, and injuring the dozens of more people. Four male members of the KKK (Thomas Blanton Jr., Herman Cash, Robert Chambliss, and Bobby Cherry) were identified as the perpetrators of the bombing, with Robert being convicted of one of the girls' murders, and Bobby and Thomas getting life sentences in 2002 and 2001 respectively. Herman, however, died in 1994, so he was never convicted.
